From 17–19 January 2026, the WAYVE Foundation organised a three-day Residential Workshop for the 2025 Cohort in Lucknow—an intensive platform for legal strengthening, critical reflection, and leadership development among grassroots women leaders.
The workshop began with a strong focus on access to justice. Adv. Satish Kumar guided participants on monitoring women atrocity cases and conducted sessions on the POCSO Act, 2012, and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, strengthening their capacity to respond to violence and child rights violations with clarity and accountability.
Retd. IPS Officer Shri Darapuri ji led a session on the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and its Rules, emphasising the importance of effective implementation. Manjula Pradeep facilitated learning on campaigning and advocacy, equipping participants with strategies for collective action, while Gurjeet Kaur encouraged reflection on internalised patriarchy and personal responsibility in driving social change.
On the second day, S.H. Raihan connected participants to constitutional values—covering the Preamble, Directive Principles, Fundamental Rights, and Duties—reinforcing the Constitution as a living framework for justice and leadership.
More than a workshop, the programme strengthened conviction, capacity, and commitment to advancing justice at the community level.
